pick2Product is supplied as a mill edge coil that is pickled, oiled, temper rolled and cropped back to gauge.  Options are available to specify product as dry or with side trimmed edges.  While this product is typically manufactured to a specific nominal thickness, it may also be ordered to a minimum thickness.  In either case, this sheet product is sold on an actual weight basis.  This product is intended for applications that require a clean, uniform surface and good flatness.

USS hot rolled pickled temper rolled sheet is furnished as a mill edge coil that is pickled, temper rolled, oiled and cropped back to gauge. Pickling is the process of removing scale from the hot rolled sheet surface by the action of water solutions and inorganic acids. pick3

Pickling is a continuous operation that requires the ends of successive coils to be welded together in order to form a continuous strip and to optimize production rates.  Typically, an oil film is applied after the pickling operation to guard against rust and wrap to wrap gouging during coil handling and /or further processing.

Options available to our customers include the ability to specify this product as dry and/or with side trimmed edges. This product is intended for applications that require a clean, uniform surface and good flatness.
