Tin mill products include electrolytic tinplate,
electrolytic chromium coated steel (also referred to as tin free steel or
TFS), and black
plate, an uncoated product. The majority of tin mill products are used by the container
industry in the manufacturing of cans, ends and closures for the food and beverage
industry. Over 120 tinplate lines and 30 TFS lines are operating in the world today,
supplying this huge market.
