ACRYLUME®

Research

ACRYLUME® Coated Sheet testing and performance have been successful since the product's introduction in 1997. It is capable of being roll-formed into difficult structural standing seam roofing profiles without the addition of oil often applied to aid the roll-forming process.
Footprinting Characteristics
GALVALUME® Comparison

ACRYLUME® also resists the handprinting and footprinting that can occur during roofing and siding installation. This provides a significant benefit when the product is used in architectural applications. The coating on ACRYLUME® is not a substitute for paint. If your job requires warranted color coating uniformity, you should use prepainted GALVALUME® Coated Sheet or prepainted galvanized steel sheet. Our tests indicated that the polymer coating on ACRYLUME® offers significant resistance to darkening over time. As always, keep in mind that each roofing and siding application presents different conditions that affect the aging of unpainted surfaces.

We began producing ACRYLUME® in 1997 at our Mon Valley Works - Irvin Plant's Dualine, which is located near Pittsburgh, Pa. One year later, it was also available from our Fairfield Works Dualine near Birmingham, Ala. These Dualines (galvanized and GALVALUME® Coated Sheet production lines) are strategically located to help us get our products to your market in a timely and cost-effective manner.
